High speed tripping relays are voltage operated, aracted armature type with 5 contacts per element. Each element is enclosed in a dust proof moulded,transparent, polycarbonate cover. Radio metal is used for the magnec components such as the armature, the core and the yoke of the tripping relay to ensure good electrical performance. The contacts are made of phosphor bronze and are nickel plated. The contact ps are made of pure silver. The use of these materials ensures very good contact performance.
